Warranty.
What are after affects one has to face if he/she uses mods. The two I know are:
1. You cannot connect to live.
2. You loose the warranty.

but you could play bootlegged game that cost only 1$ per copy and you get unlimited kinds of new game every time for just a price so cheap you could buy 10 copies and just throw a copy that has scratch.

Yep you'll lose the warranty. But I think you should be able to connect to Live unless you've flashed the DVD firmware. You'll be banned from Live in that case. You can't play bootlegged copies on Live anyway which is the Xbox 360's main attraction.

The warranty issue is the same with any electronics not just game consoles. So keep in mind if you plan to do this then you are never going to be able to use the warranty. Which are junk anyway, cause they always seem to have problems after it expires anyway.

I often think about this. If they did not want people making changes they would setup it up so that people would not be able to. Same thing with software and games, if they really wanted to they could make it so they could not be copied.

I trust warranty because,
if some parts are malfunctioning you could check up it to them for free.
but if it doesn't have you have to spend some dollars $_$

The warranty is something I'm not ready to void seeing as the xbox doesn't last very long.
