Thread: Xbox & Xbox 360

Just wondering if these both use the same games? We have an Xbox and were thinking about trading for an Xbox 360 but we have so many games I wanted to keep so I want to be sure that they games are compatible.

If I remember correctly, the Xbox 360 does have backwards compatibility, but google for a list of compatible games.

You can play Xbox games on the 360 ,but if the games were made specifically for 360 (such as Halo 3) then they can only be played on the 360.

Backwards compatibility is important for systems these days. Noone wants to spend $500 on ten games, and in 2 years they're all useless when the latest console comes out! I think all the sytems work with their old games now.

I put one of my original xbox games in a xbox 360 and something came up on the screen that said I had to download something to be able to play it in the 360.
Don't remember which game it was though.

you can get a disc that makes your 360 backwards compatable to all games. I got mine on ebay for $1-$2 and works just fine with all my old xbox games.
