I want to run a game in windowed mode so that it doesnt take my whole screen. I have loads of stuff running in the background when I alt+tab out of the game to check on something the game crashes. Is there anyway I can get it to run in windowed mode?

I think there are some games that will allow you to do that specifically the old games like pinball and Pac Man, but for the new ones I'm not sure about that. I think one of the reasons why it crashes is that the resolution of the game is different from your current windows resolution.

Windowed modes just have problems up the wazoo, try pressing alt+Enter, see if that does it. If it doesn't, then look at the resolution settings under the Graphics options. If that doesn't work, then the game flat-out doesn't support windows modes.
