The DSi launch was enormous this week, but the rest of the videogame market was quite. Nintendo announced that the new DSi model sold 435,000 units in the United States within a single week of launch, bringing total DS sales in the Americas to over 600,000 units this week – already almost as much as what the platform sold in five weeks of March. PS2 sales were also marginally up from the previous week as this is the first full week the system was available at a price point of $100.
