    PSP Stolen in mall

Hi gamers, many of you reading this right now probably own a PSP and know how absolutely horrible it would be if you lost it or someone stole it, and this is the first time someone has ever stolen a handheld ive ever had. So heres my story.

I called up EB games at a mall near my house, looking for some certain movies and games used, in good condition. Happy that EB games was going to hold there only single copy's of the Warriors umd movie and Little Man umd movie, I left my house with my psp in my back pocket (which was deep, deep enough so noone would see it sticking out) to test them out when i got there. About twenty minutes later when I arrived at the mall, I headed straight for EB games. I arrived at the counter, asked him for the movies they were holding for me and when i reached into my back pocket..... it was gone!. My PSP Slim that was practically mint condition and new was gone!. I was furious, pissed off and bummed for the rest of the day. I still bought the two umd movies, but on i didnt even get to watch them that day. Luckily for me, Ive managed to work my butt off helping a friend of mine's dad moving furniture for a while now that has managed to barely buy me a new ice silver slim. In about 3 weeks I will go and buy another, but its to bad since i was actually saving for a new bike. So my advice to all of you psp owners, is to just watch out and keep checking your pockets, bags etc, because you never know when a pick pocketer will come by and take your valuables.
Any questions on videogames? Any general questions you might have? Feel free to ask me. I am online most of my time and I will get an answer for you A.S.A.P.

    6. Xbox

    7. Xbox 360

  2. This is why you should never put a PSP in a back pocket. I've seen leather holders for the PSP, they should make it more difficult to slide the PSP out of a pocket. If not, a set of wide rubber bands around the holder should provide shock-protection and some degree of resistance.

  3. Man that sucks. im sorry to hear about that. Maby you it fell out of your back pocket and someone picked it up and just took it.

  4. That's no good... but that happened to me but it's kinda different. When we were going home after we visited my sister, my PSP (the old and fat version) fell when I seated on the car and then when I got home I didn't noticed it won't work the power switch was broken it was sliperry like no force and even I charged it won't turn on then I'm still trying to fixed it and another problem was the Memory Stick where where where! it was missing! I rush back to my sister's home and saw it besides where we parked before (Hmm.... I wonder why is it still working even it was lying in the snow for about 20 minutes and when I took it it was wet) Luckily all the file were safe. After a few weeks... I bought a Slim version

Now this makes me think... are handheld console game designers making them that fragile on purpose ? I mean, they know people will upgrade if it breaks, after all they already have the games, what are they going to do with them without a console, right ? so they upgrade.

This, of course, is a very unsettling experience and I wish it hadn't happened, but the sad fact is that as long as people continue to take their PSPs everywhere they go and in their back pockets, it's a story that will be repeated over and over again. You need to keep in mind that as long as PSPs are "hot" items that everyone wants, and as long as the economy stays in a downturn, there will be people of all ages who are not afraid to steal them, no matter which pocket the PSP is in. Best thing to do is simply leave the PSPs at home.
