Thread: PS3 "too dusty" to be RMA-ed ?

This guy can't make a warranty claim on his PS3 because, according to Sony officials, it was "too dusty" can you imagine, it's a closed system, and they're making out like it's the customer's fault that the insides are too dusty at any rate, why would a console stop running just because there was a lot of dust in it ? there are tons of PCs with whole families of dust bunnies in them that still run well

That is rediculous! Unless maybe the situation was extreme... and it was more than just "dust". I know from PC's that dust can kill a processor with heat if it causes the fans to clog or slow down.

In any case, Sony should take care of it.
