Thread: DualShock 3 Controller Release Date

Hey gamers and how's it going? I searched up the Dual shock 3 PS3 controller on wikipedia just a minute ago and got some good information on its release date.


Release Date is April 15th 2008, releasing in North America and Europe for a retail price of 54.99$.

The DualShock 3 controller needs version 1.94 minimum to work on the PS3, so for those who dont have your PS3 upgraded you should do that soon. An interesting fact about the Dualshock 3 is that it weighs 40% percent more than the regular sixaxis controller for PS3. Below is a list of compatible games with Dualshock 3.

Too bad for me, there is no news on when it will be release on my country. I hope that I could get one since I have really enjoyed using it one my ps. I wonder when it will be available on the Philippines.

Do you have any pics of the DS3 controller? Or does it look almost the same as the old one? Sony hasn't changed their controllers for a very long time, so this is interesting to me.
