Default Why the Guy Game was Banned: The real Story

Many of you might have seen or heard of "The Guy Game", and many of you might have heard about the game being banned in a short while afterwards its release. Many say it was to graphical, which it was nothing close to being so over the limit that they would have banned it for. And many say it was because it was to "perverted" because of the sexual content. But, for those who havent yet heard, heres the real story.

After the "Guy Game" was released for the PS2, Xbox and PC, a rather young girl that was 17 years of age at the time sued "Top Heavy Studios" (Publishers of the guy game) for showing Visage and other "stuff" of her on the videogame. Also, some may think this is strange but common sense, Sony and Microsoft were sued as well for NOT showing her in the game "Legally". The Guy game was a trivia based videogame filled with nudity and other stuff that many young gamers parents werent to impressed with.

Yeah, I heard that. That was a major screwup, sure, 17 isn't a big deal but still. Besides, it's her own damn fault for going topless anyway.

They should have put a label thats not for kids. And just adult gaming if thats the case? a simple case they should have prevented and win if not for some stupid reason i guess? anyway there are many more nude games out there never face the same situation.

Now that is an interesting conundrum. You can get sued because you didn't get consent from someone who can't give consent. Weirdest thing I've ever heard. Anyway they should have checked her age.

It's a dumb concept for a game anyway. If you're that needy for something to punch the clown to, theres always the internet to satisfy your needs. I bet you could even find it for free if you looked hard(lolz) enough.

I'm just waiting for The Sims to release the "Real Sextoys and Virtual Sex" addon. You know a lot of people would buy it.. I think companies will do anything to have a popular game.

John - haha that'd be awesome..and yeah, everyone WOULD buy it. The vibrating love bed was popular enough in the first one, I can just imagine throwing some sex toys in there. :P

"Besides, it's her own damn fault for going topless anyway."

No, no, Dartz, she was 17, not 18, so she had no idea what she was doing. They had to completely manipulate her for her to go topless. She didn't understand what she was doing!

Lmao, because that release would be so popular EA would have to continue the trend. Next we would be seeing "The Sims: Don't get an STD" and "The Sims: Birth Control Addon Pack". Soon the Sims would be a full-on sex simulator and nothing short of porn.

I could see it happening.

And of course, after that we could see such expansions as The Sims: Sexual Dysfunctional Expansion," "The Sims: Marriage Counseling Add-on," and the ever popular "The Sims: Housewives at Play Edition."
