Thread: backing up a PS2 DVD game

Does any one know how to do it?

Ive got Nero Recoded and a DVD decypter.

I have no idea i am trying to find out how myself

All u really need is DVD decrypter, from dvd decrypter go to mode choose ISO read place your ps2 game in let that finish then place your blank dvd in and choose mode ISO write then your done.

But if your planning on playing online u will have to have a program to patch the dnas code into your burnt ps2 game.

To burn a PS2 backup you have to set nero to ISO mode 2 + max characters of 31 and remove all the ticks in extensions. then just do a dvd copy. after you do this you will need a PS2 modchip 2 play the game

Is the mod-chip the oly way to use a copied game on ps2? Someone said something about boot disc. Do u know anything about that?

I have DVDdecrypter....i followed the instructions but when i went to sample the burned copy in my console i get the message "please insert a playstation or playstation 2 format disc" can anyone guide me in the right direction as far as how to do this properly? i dont want to run through all my blank DVD's just to get it right.

I always order a replacement disk when some thing goes wrong with my disk and I myself have never tried making a backup of the DVD.
