Thread: Do you think that Age of Empire 1 is much harder than Age of Empire 3?

I think that it is much harder because the first one really needs those cheats just to finish the game while the third edition doesn’t need such. I have managed to finish the AOE 3 in just 4 days.

Yup, the first one is pretty hard, most games these days are too easy, only hard games I've played recently are Ninja Gaiden and Xenosaga. I remember when even GETTING to the last level made you "The man".

yeah agree the older installations is harder to play than the previous versions as i needed to cheat to finish a game before.

AOE 3 is my favorite game right now and I think that I would like to finish it this time on the moderate difficulty. I set it to the easiest the first time I play. Hope that I can finish this game while it set to moderate.

well i have not played age of emperor 3 but i played aoe 1 .I found it quite interesting and difficult.I have heard that aoe 3 is not that hard, so i never tried aoe 3.
