I did not really realize Pokemon where still so popular. Now I see there are three games for the DS that are really popular right now. Anyone have any clue why. Is it because the gaming industry is targeting younger audiences.

Its because pokemon is the best handheld rpg. Kids aren't enough to make any game sell as much as pokemon. Also, I'm pretty sure kids would suck at it because being good at the game isn't that easy.

Pokemon games are really popular all over the world, especially in China and Japan. The game is popular since its cartoon is very popular and watched all over the world.

I was a fan of pokemon, and it's my guilty pleasure to play the games every once in a while when I'm extremely bored. Hey, I can't help it! The games are pretty addicting, and though it has the same concept of catching monsters and beating all the gyms in each game, they add nifty little extras that make it worth playing again.

Its still popular because children love the idea of it. Pokemon was a brilliant idea and whoever made it up is sure raking in all the profits as we speak. And now with the WiFi capabilities of the DS, I am sure that its going to be around for quite a while.

I've never seen the fascination with it, but as everyone else has said, kids seem to love it. However, once something gets as big as Pokeman did at one time, then they will keep pushing out more and more games. The more money they can make off it it, the better.

i hate the tv show, i hate the cards, and everything else. but the games are very well done and very fun. i have yet to play any of the new ones on the ds. but i have beaten all of them up to ruby and sapphire because they are really fun games. i still have fun going through pokémon blue the odd time. if you haven't already. i would recommend picking one up and playing through it. it really is worth it.

Are you then claiming that all kids would suck at this game. I know of one kid that is very good at this game and he is even better than most adults I have seen play it.

It's been a while since I played a Pokemon game...a LONG while, the last one I played was Silver and Gold!

All I want is a Celebi, but for SOME reason us living in America can't see to get one legit. Yeah, I haven't played Pokemon in ages, last time I actually played was back in Silver. I played my cousins LeafGreen to level up his Pokemon and let's just say he had all 3 starters at level 60, 2 Eevees and 1 of each -Eon when he got it back. And a Mewtwo to boot. I haven't lost my touch.
