October 29, 2009 6:00 AM A new blog post from Soldak Entertainment's Steven Peeler once again reveals information about the company's upcoming action RPG, Din's Curse. The information update this time offers details on a common sight for dungeon delvers, the treasure chest. Din's Curse chests will include traps and a variety of ways to deal with them. In Din's Curse players take the role of an adventurer cursed to walk the lands in a quest for redemption. The game features 141 possible class combinations, an infinite number of dynamically generated towns, and a game world directly impacted by player choices. First off, what if the chest is locked? Well if you have a skeleton key, you are good to go. Just use the door, you will use up one key, and the door will open (it might set off a trap though). However, skeleton keys are fairly rare and expensive (at least to new characters). Rogues or a hybrid character with the thief specialty has a pick locks skill. Picking a lock takes a bit of time and uses up some of your mana. The chance that you are actually successful depends on your skill level compared to the level of the lock.Click over to the page below to read the full article.
