Default What would you want to see in a video game store?

I need all the help I can get. I am attempting to open a game store. A locally owned game store that will hopefully have everything. I need help and suggestions with what should be in there. I think that having a tournament room will set my store apart. Also having store cards that have points that add up for a purchase in the store. Please help with suggestion and tips. All is appreciated. Thanks.

It sounds like you have it all worked out. I love Game Stop with the fact that you can test systems and the amount of accessories and games but if you took how they have that and added a game room I just don't see how that could go wrong. A very marketable difference between the average game stores.

Nice, I like the idea, you should have like weekly draws for a free rental, or something, maybe like win points, people would want to win it.. kind of like lottery. lol.. you should make sure you have space, enough to make the customers not feel squeezed and such. You should also have a testing system, like Wal-Mart .. Competitions would be nice, like Guitar hero competitions, or a halo 3 nights or rock band parties.. hehe, just like your tournaments and stuff.. just to know that a game store would have tourneys , me and m friends would rush over there. xD right away.. game demos could be nice, and great customer service, I think you'd be ok with that right ?

Ehhh... I had posted and it had seemed not to work so I posted again...

Nice, I think it's a great idea, I think you should make sure that you have enough space for the customers not to feel to squeezed in.. Yeah the tournaments idea is cool, you could have halo 3 nights, or guitar hero competitions, or even rock band concerts xD hehe.. if I would know that a near by game store would have all of these, Id freak out, I would go every day. to play and see people play.. you could have like game demos for people to try the new released games.. yeah the points idea is cool, you could do like a sort of lottery, people buy tickets, and at the end of the week one people could win a free rental or something.. or a small prize of some sort

When it comes to my observing view in a particular game store, I don't need much more than what I need at the moment. If a store is able to offer me what I want in handsome price then i don't see much more than that.

If your store is a console-only shop or has a little rack of PC games that look like someone played street hockey with them (i.e. your common or garden variety GameStop), you won't be seeing much of me.

In my oponion,of course,u need to have games-relatd items in there, not just games, you had better have games accessories, games console repair part,..
Try to find the good supplier for your business, and u will get success
