Is it possible to play online games and earn a living out of it? I have a friend who does exactly that. I am waiting for his link so that I can join in the bandwagon in making money online. Does any of you have such a site for international members?

I believe that this is true because my nephew has able to make money from his online game. He sold his account for a few bucks.

As far as I know you could also make money by selling gold, items, and virtual property and level-ups.

Not frankly but there are some websites which let you earn points for p,laying there, and they have some conversion rates for converting it to real money. Mostly they offer freebies and nothing more.

However there are sites out there that pay you for almost anything, posting on blogs, forum posting, uploading pictures and video clips, so why not playing a game?
I know there was a game which when launched was profitable. I cannot remember what it was called but here in New Zealand people would play it for hours and hours and accumulate items and game currency and such then sell it on our local auction site for fair sums of real cash. But this was in the beginnings, you don't see much of it now.
If you really want to play games for profit find a new game which allows you to send items and game money etc to other users and list it on ebay or similar. Other than that I can't think of any other ways to make money off gaming. (unless of course you own the gaming site or server)

I assume this is on selling items and characters from online games. Are there other ways? As for the money, just not enough to make a living out of I'd expect.

I can’t also think of anything other than selling that character, gold and weapon to get some money online.

I don’t agree that no one is making a living out of these because most of the players that are selling their gold on World of Warcraft is a Chinese who become rich just for selling some gold and items.
