What do you think are some of the downfalls of the current console systems for gaming? Let me know why you think the way you do and how it really affects your decision on buying that gaming system.

I dont think there is any downfall of the current console system. It is actually evolving and we are getting better consoles and better games.

Separately, there's a downfall for each console. The console in general does have its weaknesses. One's compatibility to older games, as consoles are upgraded older games become incompatible. As for the PC you can still play the oldest of old DOS games.
