The Video Game Forum Wii, PS3, Xbox 360

First I wanted to say thanks to gameforum the administrator on this site. Your starting to really improve this site and I love the new forums your putting up like the Video game News one and now the Console Wars. I think console wars is going to be great. So lets go gamers, lets make war by creating the biggest debate over which is the greatest console. The War is On!!!

Here is a list of why I think PS3 is the best system overall out of the 360 and Wii:


1. Blu Ray. Blu Ray is killing HD in sales right now and the war is already over between the two High def movie formats. Way to go Blu Ray

2. Graphics: I really noticed that the 360 and PS3 have similar graphics, but closer and more deeper looks can really tell you which has the best graphics. PS3, with Burnout Paradise I noticed that the vehicles are slightly more detailed than the 360's version. And the PS3 version's environment in Burnout Paradise is more sharpened and rendered. So overall PS3 always has slightly better visuals

3. XMB: The Xross Media Bar, the main menu on the PS3 is so much more easier to use and cooler looking than the Wii's or 360's. And accessing videos, photos etc is faster to.

4: No freezing: Unlike the 360, most of them anyways, the PS3 doesnt freeze or burn your disc's like the 360 has done to many angry gamers. Who cares if they got new ones anyways, it was still a hassle for them. Even on the newer models that Microsoft has redone, the "Red Ring of Death" has still appeared twice on my friends Elite model.

5: PSP Connectivity: I think its cool how the PSP can interact and share dta wirelessly with the PS3, what other console does that?.

6: Its PS3: Just because its Sony, its pure awesome. I know its not a great reason, but can you say "just because the manufactor" for any other console to back it up?

7: Online growing fast: Even with the 360 having online for years already, the PS3 is catching up in just a little over a year

8: HUGE Future: The PS3 has a huge lineup of games for 2008 and 2009 and has a great future. Just think of all the possibilities Sony will create within the next year or so.

9: DualShock 3: The Dualshock 3 controller is right around the corner and is going to be a great addition to PS3. Now we can finally have some rumble in our realistic war, racing, and fighting games

10: Platformers: Sony PS3 has some amazing Platform games so far, and is not even close to wrapping it up. Heavenly Sword, Resistance and MotorStorm were just the "BenchWarmers".

All I want to say about PS3 is that the cost factor is on negative side.
Console is also costly and the games are also too expensive.

I think its worth it and to justify the price for the ps3, it has blu-ray dvd and once it catches on everyone will want ps3.

The Blu-Ray is nothing more than another ploy to make you buy all of the same movies you already have on DVD again. If anything I think the Blu-Ray makes the price of it even worse.

Its just too expensive for me especially when there really is no reason for it to cost so much.

I never played any other game consoles other than PS 1 and 2. I think that PS 3 is better than the previous because I haven’t seen any previous consoles yet that are better than the first. What is the reason for making another one if this new one is not better than the old ones?

the xbox 360 has better graphics
360 doesn't freeze anymore
nothing beats xbox live

PS3 is bit expensive but considering other facts..like it has blue ray dvd.its fine Lol
