I bet a console can easily run an operating system -- people have managed to run linux on a PlayStation 2. If they do that, of course, then people would buy consoles and not buy games, which would actually make them lose money.

Because of this I don't think they will allow consoles to run business applications any time soon.

It would be interesting if they could though wouldn't it ? it would change a lot of things.
Are these the same kind of people that operate their refrigerators via thier computer? You know, the guys with wayyy too much time on their hands? I dunno, running everything from the TV -- I know that's where the medium is eventually going to go and the personal computer will cease to exist, but I'm just not READY for that yet.
